Terry
Willard, Cl.H., Ph.D. has studied the medicinal properties of plants
for more than thirty years. He is recognized as one of North America’s
leading clinical herbalists.
Appointed in 1986 to the Canadian
federal government's Expert Advisory Committee on Herbs and Botanical
Preparations, he appears regularly in the print and electronic media
as an exponent of responsible herbal use.
He currently serves as the President
of the Canadian Association of Herbal Practitioners, is a full member
of the American Herbalists Guild, and is in the Canadian Health
Foods Association’s Hall of Fame.
Dr. Willard is the author of ten
books on the subject of herbs, including the Wild Rose Herbal Series,
a pivotal series of three textbooks written to educate herbalists,
Dr. Terry Willard’s Encyclopedia of Herbs, Edible and Medicinal
Plants of the Rocky Mountains and Neighboring Territories, as well
as a number of titles in the Wild Rose Herbal Series.
Dr. Willard operates the Wild Rose
Wholistic Clinic in Calgary, Alberta, and serves as a Director of
Wild Rose College of Natural Healing, which has been serving students
around the world since 1975.
He is an international teacher and
lecturer.
Dr. Willard currently lives on an
organic herb farm on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains near
Calgary, Alberta.
